Tinubu Denies Atiku's Claims, Says He Has Nothing to Hide

The President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has rejected the statements made by his opponent of the PDP in the last election, Atiku Abubakar, that he has gathered enough evidence to prove to the court that the President of the country has submitted a fake certificate to the election commission.

The Nigerian president said that the tip of the pen has already dried up regarding the presentation of any evidence, if there is any, in the case of the presidential election.

In an interview with the BBC Hausa, the spokesman for the president, Abdul-Aziz Abdul'Aziz, said that what the former vice president told them was something for them to sympathise with.

"These statements of Atiku are a matter of sympathy for him because he shows that he is confused and does not even know what is happening," he said.

Abdul'aziz Abdul'aziz said that it is the university in question in the state of Chicago in the United States of America.

In all the documents and information they gave to the court, nowhere did they say that there was a fake document or that Tinubu did not study with them.

He said, "Based on this fact, the PDP candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has made critical statements and tried to give people information that will confuse them or even cause misunderstanding."

"Even a person who has not studied law knows that the courts of appeal are not the courts of trial; they are the courts that review the lower court's decision so that if there is a mistake, it must be corrected or changed." He said.

Abdul'aziz said if Atiku Abubakar thinks he has found any proof he can present, the tip of the pen is already dry.

He said, "We have no fear because everything that needs to be done has been done for what is needed, and this school that is being talked about has already provided all the evidences."

"Then we know that everything he does is ineffective and has no legal basis," he said.

The spokesperson of the president of Nigeria said that Atiku Abubakar should now realise that the political chapter is closed and he should only face the chapter of nation building as President Tinubu has said many times.
